Sun ‘n’ Sand Scrapbook Layout

Preserve Summer Vacation Memories in a ‘Beach Vacation’ Scrapbook Layout

Sun ‘n’ Sand Scrapbook Layout

SUPPLIES

• Pastel blue mottled backing paper
• Pastel yellow backing paper
• Pastel blue pearl paper
• Pale yellow card
• Seashell backing paper
• Blue pearl card
• Silver wire
• Peel-off letters
• Various yellow and blue buttons
• Yellow, blue and red ribbon
• Scissors
• Hole punch
• Glue dots
• Double sided tape

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING THE LAYOUT

1. Tear the pastel yellow backing paper in half diagonally and stick to the pastel blue backing paper. You have your basic page which now needs to be embellished.

2. Cut the pastel blue pearl paper slightly larger than the main picture to act as a border.

3. Arrange photographs as required using double sided tape or glue. See the final image for ideas.

4. Cut out a tag shape from the pale yellow card to the required size for the page. Punch a hole into the centre at the top using the hole-punch.

5. Tear the seashell paper to cover the bottom half of the tag. Stick red ribbon across the bottom of the tag.

6. Loop a piece of the blue ribbon and stick to the back of one of the buttons.

Stick the button to tag using the glue dots or the double sided tape.

7. Tie pieces of the yellow and blue ribbon through the hole in the tag. Using peel-off letters spell out the place and date of the holiday or any other details you wish to mention.

Stick the tag to the page using double sided tape.

8. As an alternative, you could try fastening just the ribbon, allowing the tag to lift up and reveal a special message or photograph.

9. Cut a rectangle of the blue pearl card and spell out the message “ Wish you were here…” using the peel-off letters.

Stick to the page just below the main picture.

10. Bend the silver wire into the shape of a sun as shown.

Attach over the edge of one of the photographs using glue dots.

11. Stick any other buttons where desired using the glue dots.

12. As an alternative you could decorate the page with items you collected during your holiday instead of coloured buttons.

You are done! You can use this pretty page to scrapbook your fun beach vacation memories!
