MATERIALS:

1 bulb 2" round
#10 thread
7/1.65mm steel hook
1/8" wide Ribbon

Gauge: Not important to over all size.

Finished Size: 2" around

Stitches:  

3 dc puff stitch
Yarn over, insert hook in stitch or space as indicated by pattern instructions, draw up a 1/2" loop or a loop equal to the height of your last stitch, (yo, insert hook in same st, yo, draw up 1 long loop) twice, yo, draw through first 7 loops on hook, ch 1 to complete the stitch.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Chain 3, join to form a ring

1.) Chain 2, hdc in ring 7 times, join: 8 hdc

2.) chain 2, hdc in same st, * 2 hdc in next st, repeat from * around join in chain 2: 16 hdc.

3.) chain 2, hdc in same st, * 2 hdc in next st, repeat from * around join in chain 2: 32 hdc.

4.) Chain 4, ( counts as first dc, ch 1), dc in same stitch, * skip next st, dc, ch 1, dc in next st; repeat from * around join in chain 3 of 4: 16 v-stitches

5.) Work puff stitch in first chain 1 space, chain 2, * puff st in next ch 1 space, chain 2; repeat from * around join in first puff stitch made: 16 puff stitches.

6 - 14) work puff stitch in first puff stitch, chain 2, * puff stitch in next puff stitch, chain 2; repeat from * around join in first puff stitch made: 16 puff stitches.

15.) sc in first dc st, 4 dc in chain 2 space, * sc in next dc stitch, 4 dc in next chain 1 space; repeat from * around join in sc.

End weaving in all ends.

Finishing: Take ribbon and weave in and out of rnd 14
Slip cover over bulb and tie ribbon in bow.
